Candidate for Nassau County Legislator in District 16 serving Old Bethpage, Plainview, Jericho, Old Westbury, Syosset, Hicksville, Woodbury and Roslyn Heights.

Bio: Born in Israel, Dan Alter and his family achieved the American Dream in Plainview.  Dan believes in giving back to the community and has spent countless hours mentoring local children and staff at a day camp.

An entrepreneur and professor, Dan knows that Nassau County’s massive tax hikes and policies are hurting families and crushing jobs.  A member of Midway Jewish Center, Dan and his family are concerned about the rise in anti-Semitism and crime.

My 3 most important issues

I look forward to addressing is the unaffordable taxes in Nassau County caused by the reassessment and recent bills passed.

This is of dire consequences to Nassau County and hurting so many residents, young families and senior citizens, and ultimately preventing for young families the opportunity of settling down here in Nassau.  These consequences will impact our future local economy negatively in a significant way.

Support Law enforcement, so that Law and Order are maintained in Nassau County and providing safety for our families, children and residents to be kept out of harm’s way.

Concentration on local economic growth for local businesses, by providing programs and hands-on initiatives that will create opportunities for businesses to thrive, thereby offering greater employment opportunities for qualified candidates to thrive right here in Nassau County.

My Master’s Degree in Business Management and Organizational Leadership and entrepreneurial experience provide me with the business acumen and tools to offer significant support and help local businesses.
