St. Peter’s School has selected Deacon John Hogan as their new principal. Bishop John Barres of the Diocese of Rockville Centre approved the selection of Hogan, who is well known to him from his chairmanship of the Strategic Planning Office for Catholic Schools on Long Island.

The school board unanimously approved his selection as well.

Monsignor Robert Clerkin, new Pastor of St. Peter’s Parish, selected Hogan and was very pleased to present him to the bishop, school board, and the parish family.

Hogan has served as a superintendent of public schools, a high school principal, and earlier in his career, a teacher and a dean. He recently held the position of director of the Strategic Planning Office for Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Rockville Centre.

The school board and parent-teacher organization will host a “Meet & Greet/Q & A” reception this summer at the IHM Spirituality Center, which is located next to St. Peter’s School. All parents and prospective parents considering enrolling their children for the new school year are welcome and encouraged to attend.

For more information about the event, including the date and time, go to St. Peter’s School website at stpeterspw.org or call St. Peter’s School office at 516-944-3772.
