Temple Judea plans high holy days observance

As the High Holy Days season approaches, Temple Judea’s plans are in high gear.

The High Holy Days which include Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kipper are filled with tradition and history with a focus on introspection and repentance. New members are welcome.

The first year of membership will be free as an incentive to discover the joys of belonging to Temple Judea.

The Temple invites people in the community who are non-members to attend services and will provide for worship at no cost during some of the days as indicated by *.

The High Holy Days Schedule:

 

ROSH HASHANAH

Rosh Hashanah Evening Service: Sunday, Sept 9 at 8 p.m.

Rosh Hashanah Day 1:  Monday, Sept. 10 at 10:00 a.m.

Rosh Hashanah Family Service: Tailored for families with young children:  Monday, Sept 10 at 1:30 pm – 2:30 p.m.

Tashlich (At Herricks Pond):  5:00 p.m.

Rosh Hashanah Day 2:  Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 10:00 a.m.

YOM KIPPUR

Kol Nidre: Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 8:00 p.m.

Yom Kippur: Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 10:00 a.m.

Yom Kippur Family Service: Tailored for families with young children:  Wednesday, Sept 19 at 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm *

Yom Kippur Afternoon Service: Wednesday, Sept 19 at 3 pm *

Yizkor and N’ilah: Wednesday, September 19 at 4:45 pm *
