Massapequa Park Street Fair

The Massapequa Park Street Fair returns to downtown Park Boulevard and promises to be bigger and better than ever. Park Boulevard transforms into one giant marketplace filled with more than 150 craft and merchandise vendors, three live bands, outdoor oyster shucking, SLAPSHOTS with the NY Islanders, Martial Arts demonstreations, mechanical and bouncie rides for the kids, The Pickle People, Petting Zoo, facepainting and plenty of food.

Confetti Hearts

Wednesday, Aug. 7, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Join the LICM as kids learn about an American Pop Artist Jim Dine and his work. The heart has been his favorite shape, one that has inspired millions of pieces of art in all different mediums ranging from painting to printmaking to sculpture. Come create your very own Pop Heart using paint to show variations of line, color and texture. Fee: $4 with Museum admission ($3 LICM members)
