Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Council Member Anna Kaplan congratulated Daniel Miller of Troop 97 in Manhasset for reaching the rank of Eagle Scout during his Eagle Scout Court of Honor on July 29 at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

Daniel achieved the highest rank of the Boy Scouts. Bosworth and Kaplan presented Daniel a proclamation of recognition for his dedication to his Troop and to the local community.

As part of his Eagle Scout Service Project, Daniel chose to help the Science Museum of Long Island.

The museum’s weather station had been in disrepair since the early 90s, overrun with vegetation and overgrown trees. Daniel cleared the area and installed a sundial, as well as an electronic weather station.
