North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth along with the town’s Veterans Advisory Committee celebrated another successful Veterans Donation Drive.

This marked the 7th year that the Town has been hosting this drive. North Hempstead representative Tom Devaney dropped off donations on behalf of the Town on Jan. 12.

“We are proud to continue the tradition of our annual Veterans Donation Drive,” said Bosworth. “The Town’s Veterans Advisory Committee and our residents come together each year to collect donations for the Northport VA Medical Center. I would like to thank everyone for their generosity and support of our veterans who have sacrificed so much for our great country.”

Donations included cases of brand-new toiletries (with assistance from the Red Cross of Mineola), blankets, and more than $3,000 in gift cards for supermarkets and pharmacies.
