North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board announced today that the hearing dates for the proposed 2022 budget have been set.
The tentative budget will be submitted at the September 30, 2021 Town Board meeting which begins at 7 p.m.
October 6 at 10 a.m.: The Town Board will conduct a work session during this time.
October 7 at 7 p.m.: The Town Board will hold a public hearing on the tentative budget and there will be an opportunity for public comment.
October 21 at 7 p.m.: Hearing on the preliminary budget and there will be an opportunity for public comment.
October 28 at 7 p.m.: The Town Board will vote on the budget at this meeting.
New York State Governor Kathy Hochul signed legislation in the beginning of September to extend virtual public meetings to assist with reducing the need for congregation at public meetings and reduce the spread of the Delta variant.
The meetings will be broadcast live on the Town’s website beginning at its regularly scheduled time at 7 p.m. Residents who are interested in viewing the meetings can visit: northhempsteadny.gov/townboardlive.
