Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth, Town Council Members Viviana Russell, Dina De Giorgio, Anna Kaplan and Town Clerk Wayne attended 4th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the “Yes We Can” Community Center in Westbury on Monday, Dec. 3. The tree, a newly-planted 14-foot Norway spruce, was donated by the Long Island Nets. The Nets use the YWC facility for their practices.
The celebration also included performances by the “Yes We Can” community band and “Yes We Can” choir, as well as a visit from Santa, courtesy of the Westbury Fire Department and free hot chocolate provided by the Salvation Army.
