Two students from the Vincent Smith School in Port Washington suffered minor injuries when their school bus struck a car on the Meadowbrook Parkway on Monday, state police said.

The two students were transported by ambulance to the Nassau County Medical Center and treated for their injuries and released, police said.

The school bus, which had four children aboard, was traveling south on the parkway south of Hempstead Turnpike when the driver failed to see stopped traffic in front of her and hit a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe at 3:46 p.m., police said.

No one in the Hyundai was injured, police said.

The bus driver, Maria Delgado, of Freeport, was issued a summons for speeding.
