72 Mineola High School students named AP scholars

Seventy-two past and present students from Mineola High School earned the designation of Advanced Placement Scholars for excelling on their 2018 AP exams. This year, Vijay Paliath earned the highest designation one can achieve – the National AP Scholar designation.

National AP Scholar, is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more exams:

AP Scholar with Distinction is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more exams:

Michael Britt, Rhena Chuachingco, Ryan Demagistris,* Molly Donelan,* Michael Gay,* Ameena Hamraz,* Qamber Jafri, Hannah Kolsch, Emily McGuire,* Erin Miller, Daniel Murray,* Vijay Paliath,* Anmol Patel,* Neilah Rustemi and Hymn Yiu.*

AP Scholar with Honor is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams:

Blake Bodson,* Natalie Campanella, Michael Candela, Madeline Feehan,* Kevin Fraccalvieri,* Joana Marques, Tara Orefice, Anisha Shah,* Audrey Timoteo Franza, and Ava Williams.

AP Scholar is granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams:
