An evening of art with Dr. Charles A. Riley

Temple Judea  will be hosting an evening with Dr. Charles A. Riley II, PhD, Director of the Nassau County Museum of Art on Wednesday, October 24th, from 7:00 – 8:30 PM. Dr. Riley will share his extensive knowledge, as he speaks about the museum’s current exhibit, True Colors, which he curated. True Colors runs through November 4th

Dr. Riley has served as the Director of the Nassau County Museum of Art since 2017. Prior to his appointment, he was both a curator-at-large and a presenter of lectures in conjunction with the museum’s exhibitions. Dr. Riley has written and lectured extensively on many art topics and has curated exhibitions in Berlin, Amsterdam, Lausanne, New York and on Long Island’s East End.

The True Colors exhibit features more than 100 works from the nineteenth century to current talents. It is an exuberant show, highlighting the full range of color’s magic. The exhibit begins with a work by Titian, considered the original champion of color in art and includes exciting names such as Kandinsky, Motherwell, Warhol, Wolf Kahn and more.
