As part of its community outreach, Trinity Episcopal Church in Roslyn has been donating new and gently used children’s books for several years to local laundromats. This effort was aimed at the children who accompany their parents on weekly laundromat visits. It highlights the importance of reading in expanding vocabulary and general knowledge, adjustment to a new country’s customs, bonding between adults and kids and so much more. Fifteen thousand books have been donated to date.

Additional book contributions are always welcome. If you have any new or gently-used children’s books you’d like to donate, please call Trinity Episcopal Church at 516-621-7925 to arrange a drop off time.
