The Village of East Hills’ Kids in the Park Committee held its “Halloween Spooktacular” Oct. 20. Princesses, skeletons, super heroes, pirates and many other scary characters filled the lower field at the Park at East Hills.

Children enjoyed a meet and greet with their favorite live characters, animals at the petting zoo, thrilling mechanical rides, games, Halloween bounce house attractions, laser tag provided by GameTruck, face painting, professional balloon twisting and pumpkin decorating. Many of the visitors and guests enjoyed a barbecue lunch offered by Jerry and the Stamantinos family from the popular Park Grille. Guests also enjoyed frozen yogurt from the Hewlee Ice Cream Truck.

“The Spooktacular is a perfect way to celebrate Halloween,” Mayor Michael Koblenz said. “We are very appreciative to everyone involved in planning and holding one of our village’s finest and proudest events.”
