The Port Washington Police Department arrested a Glen Cove man last week for selling drugs out of a store on Main Street.

Sunil Kumar Sodhi charged with selling cannabis out of Tony’s Grab’ n Go, located at 26 Main St. in Port Washington.

A search warrant was carried out at the location on Wednesday, Nov. 14 after Port Washington police received information that drugs were being sold at that location, officials said. The investigation was conducted with assistance from the Nassau County Fire Marshalls and the own of North Hempstead Building Inspector.

Sodhi was charged with three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance 4th degree, a class-C non-violent felony which could result in over a year in prison. He was also charged with four counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance 7th degree, a class-A misdemeanor that carries the penalty of up to a year in prison.

Tony’s Grab’ n Go is located near only a few blocks away from Carrie Palmer Weber Middle School, which means that Sodhi will also be charged with three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, a class-B felony that can carry a prison sentence of a year or more.

Police said they were uncertain of Sodhi’s position at Tony’s Grab’ n Go.

Efforts to reach Tony’s Grab’ n Go representatives were unavailing.
