A Great Neck man was arrested last Tuesday evening after Nassau County police said he attempted to stab his stepdaughter’s husband.
Yong Lin, 60, of Tuddington Road, is facing charges of second-degree assault and fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon, police said.
Police said Lin got into a verbal argument with his stepdaughter’s husband  and grabbed a kitchen knife and tried to stab him.
The victim, 33, put his hands up to block the attempt, police said, and suffered a laceration to his hand.
Police said Lin continued and stabbed the victim in the torso.
The victim sustained nonlife-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, police said. He is in stable condition.
Police said 3rd Precinct officers arrested Lin in front of his residence around 7:30 p.m.
He was arraigned in First District Court last Wednesday and is due back in court on Oct. 20.
