I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take it anymore,” — that’s the real message from the election.
It’s been clear for years that the United States Congress and the Washington establishment doesn’t do anything.
Well they talk a lot and pose for pictures and solicit campaign contributions — so they can get re-elected and talk to each other some more.
Our system of government is broken.
The lobbyists have taken over.
Money talks and it doesn’t say: “let’s help the little guy — the average Joe.”
Money says: “let’s help ourselves — the little guy be damned.”
Corruption is the norm. Lying is expected. Honesty is in short supply.
Unbiased news reporting is a myth.
It’s been said that people get the kind of government they deserve.
So what does that say about America? “We have met the enemy, and it is us.”
