Last Tuesday, Donald Trump, the president-elect, declares on Twitter that people who burn the American flag should lose their citizenship or be sent to jail.
Well, I totally concur whole heartily.
To burn the American flag is an insult to all those who have serve our great nation and all those who have sacrificed their lives to preserve freedom.
I myself have served our country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era and was proud to have done so.
I firmly believe our American flag represents all that we all hold dear and that is life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
In my opinion anyone or group that burns the American flag should be punished for this egregious act of disrespect.
I think also those who feel it is important to commit this nefarious act of disobedience should be reacquainted with American history as their punishment.
