I want to thank Rebecca Gilliar, Load of Books Find a New Home in Great Neck — Nov. 11, for solving the mystery of the disappearance of many books from the Parkville Branch of the Great Neck Library.
It seems they were shipped to the main branch when it finally opened in October of this year.
It is a shame that the main branch felt it necessary to discard so many books and then deplete the satellite branches to fill the its shelves.
I also want to thank Ms. Gilliar for saving 10,000 books for people to continually enjoy.
