Readers Write: Stiller aids in prostate fight

The Island Now

I would like to applaud actor Ben Stiller for coming forward for his case of prostate cancer.
He had a test known as a Prostate-Specific Antigen test and that test he swears saved his life.
I totally agree, for I had a high PSA number 18 months ago.
I had a aggressive prostate cancer. I had to have the prostate removed, I have had some side effects but that was expected.
I, like Ben Stiller, are also cancer free.
The bottom line I feel all men over 50 should take the PSA test.
I feel if I didn’t — the disease would have spread and I would have surely have died.
So get tested. And to Ben Stiller, thanks for telling your story.
