The Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Veterans Advisory Committee welcomed Congresswoman Kathleen Rice as a guest speaker at the Advisory Committee’s Oct. 28 meeting.
Rice discussed her involvement with the Veterans Affairs Committee and listened to attendees’ suggestions on ways to help increase services for veterans.
The Veterans Advisory Committee was created in 2014 to encourage dialogue between the Town and the local veterans’ community.
All members of the committee are volunteers who reside within the Town and represent all the different communities in North Hempstead.
