Paint Night: Sketching and Acrylics with Alma – Virtual Friday, February 11 at 7 p.m. Happy Valentines Day! Sketch and paint a beautiful heart-filled painting for you or your valentine! From beginners to advanced sketchers and painters, enjoy a fun and relaxing evening painting in the comfort of your own home. AARP Tax Aide – Location: All-Purpose Room, 2nd Floor AARP-trained volunteers will prepare tax returns for low-to-moderate income seniors on: Mondays, February 7 – April 4. Make an appointment with the library for same day drop off/pick up income tax preparation assistance. AARP staff will prepare your income taxes and contact you to return to the library to pick up your documents. Call the library at 516 355-7850, x301 or 302 for an appointment. Power of Herbs for Valentines Day – Virtual Monday, February 14 at 7:30 p.m. In this class we will be honoring Valentines Day by delving into medicinal properties of flowers. Nowadays giving someone a bouquet of flowers is considered a classic Valentine’s Day gesture, however roses are not just romantic. They are rich in Vitamin C. Rose Petals make a great tea infusion which can help with stomach and digestive problems, fatigue, insomnia and even cough. Flowers can be used for infusions (tea), baking, oil infusions,tinctures and face mask and salves. We will discuss different oils and how to use infused oils for salves and go over some fun recipes!

Kahoot Trivia: Divine Desserts! – Virtual Tuesday, February 15 at 7 p.m. All Ages – Family Fun! Test your knowledge on all different types of dessert! All who attend will be entered in a raffle to win a prize. An additional prize will be awarded to the night’s trivia contest winner!
