Valentine Soirée at North High School

The Valentine Soirée at North High School will take place on Thursday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m., at the school, 35 Polo Rd. The public is warmly welcomed to this free event.

This year’s event will feature the Jazz Ensemble, Concert Choir, and the North High A Cappella Troupe. There will also be vocal solos.

The Jazz Ensemble will perform “Red Clay,” “Mack the Knife,” “Falling in Love with Love,” “I Love Paris,” “Isn’t It Romantic,” “My Funny Valentine,” “My One and Only,” and “My Romance.”

The A Cappella Troupe will sing “Somebody that I used to Know” and “Africa.”

The Concert Choir will perform “Almost Like Being in Love,” “This is My Beloved,” and “My Funny Valentine.”

Solo vocal selections will include “Til I Hear You Sing,” “Some Enchanted Evening,” “At Last,” “Roses,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” “The Love Song,” “Love on the Brain,” and “She Used to be Mine.”

The Valentine Soirée will be under the direction of Dr. Pamela Levy, department head for fine and performing arts/director of vocal music, and Mr. Joseph Rutkowski, director of instrumental music. For more information, please contact Dr. Levy at (516) 441-4740.
