Walt Whitman writing honors for Carey students

Frank Carey High School seventh grade class anthologies, “The World Ahead of Us” and “The Rise of a New Generation” have been selected as winners in the Walt Whitman Birthplace Association annual Poetry Contest. In addition, Sierra Elbert’s “A Stroll Through the Park” and Angelina Johnson’s “To Realize the Future” were selected as individual poem winners in the seventh and eighth-grade category.
