INVITATION TO BID

Sealed Bids for construction of the Pheasant Run Water Main Project will be received by the Board of Directors of the Water Authority of Great Neck North (the ìAuthorityî) at the Authorityís office, attention Secretary, 50 Watermill Lane, Great Neck, New York 11021. Bids will be received until 11:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on Thursday, August 26, 2021. The Authority will publicly open all bids on the same day at 11:00 AM, EDT.†The work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials and incidentals required to install the approximately 400 linear feet of new 6-inch water main, valves, hydrants, hydrant laterals, service connections, cutting and capping of existing mains, and restoration, as specified in the Contract Documents. The work will also include flushing, disinfection, and testing of all work.†Contract Documents will be available via email and may be obtained by emailing†CDM Smith at the following: Gary Stuart at†stuartgr@cdmsmith.com and Colleen Meehan at†meehanc@cdmsmith.com.† Hard copies of the Contract Documents will not be available for purchase.††Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid to assure the Bidderís commitment to that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract and provide the required bonds and insurance documents as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders.††Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of 45 days after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner.†Wage rates for this Project are subject to the minimum wage rates as per New York State Prevailing Wage Schedule.†The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest.
