Nature Program: Birding Basics for Beginners
On Saturday, Feb. 10, 12:30 p.m., this indoor presentation at Great Neck House will introduce adults to birds and their adaptations. Patrons will be provided with information on where to go and what to get to learn more. A short bird walk following the presentation, will be offered. Binoculars recommended. Weekend Movie at Great Neck House
The film, Landline (2017), directed by Gillian Robespierre and starring John Turturro, Edie Falco and Jay Duplass, is playing at Great Neck House, Friday, Feb. 2 at 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 3, at 5 and 8 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 4 at 7:30 p.m. In 1995, a teenager living with her sister and parents in Manhattan discovers that her father is having an affair. It is rated R and runs 1h 37min. Admission to Great Neck House requires a park card.

Sunday @ 2: Champagne Pam

Join the Park District at Great Neck House to enjoy Champagne Pam’s tribute to Billy Joel, Sunday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. Champagne Pam, also known as Pam Lewis, was the 2016 MAC Award nominee for best female vocalist. Admission to Great Neck House requires a park card.

Birthday Parties in the Park District
Interested patrons can book his or her child’s next celebration with the Park District. Choose a skating party at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink by calling (516) 829-4323 or a unique-themed party package at Steppingstone Park by calling (516) 482-0355. Parties include a private party room, two party hosts, invitations, pizza, cake and lots more. Check out the Park District website at gnparks.org.

Camp Parkwood Winter Season at the Parkwood Sports Complex
Children in grades K-6 can enjoy the next session of Winter Camp Parkwood over the February break (Monday, Feb. 19- Friday, Feb. 23, 9 a.m.to 4 p.m.) Activities include tennis, skating, hockey, archery, gymnastics and more. The children are grouped by age. Lunch may be purchased at our snack bar or can be brought from home. Residents fee $450; non-residents fee $500. Daily fee for residents $120; non-residents $150.
