Property Tax Exemptions Workshop at Main
The Nassau County Department of Assessment will have staff to provide individual assistance to homeowners who would like to file for property tax exemptions on-site on Tuesday, Aug. 21 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Main Library, 159 Bayview Avenue.
These exemptions include Veterans, Senior Citizen, Cold War Veterans, Volunteer Firefighters and Ambulance Workers, Limited Income Disability, or Home Improvement exemptions. Homeowners who will be filing for a property tax exemption are encouraged to make copies of their 2017 Federal and State Income Tax Forms, Driver’s License, and any other documentation that is required prior to the workshop.

Special Board of Trustees Meeting at Parkville
The Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Parkville Branch, 10 Campbell Street, New Hyde Park, which is just off Lakeville Road. All are welcome.
