The streets of Mineola will be painted green this Sunday.

The Irish American Society of Nassau Suffolk and Queens will hold its 68th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, with line up beginning at noon on Court House Drive in Garden City.

The march will end at the Mineola Fire Department station.

All are welcome for a celebration afterward at the Irish American Center on Willis Avenue, with a $5 admission.

“I think it’s a great celebration of St. Patrick and what he did for Ireland and the Irish people,” said Jeff Clark, president of the society.

Clark said the parade isn’t a “drink fest,” adding that the society doesn’t “encourage that type of activity.”

Instead, the “beauty of this parade is it is truly a celebration of St. Patrick,” Clark said.

The march will feature fire departments from the area, including Mineola, Williston Park, East Williston and Floral Park.

For many years the parade was held in Garden City, but this is the second year it will be in  Mineola.

However, the parade draws people form all over the county – and even some from Suffolk and Queens, Clark said.
