A Williston Park man died on Christmas Eve after his car struck a barrier wall in Queens, according to  the New York Police Department.

Jae Soo Kim, 65, was traveling northbound on the Clearview Expressway in a 2013 Toyota Corolla around 10:30 p.m. on Friday when the accident occurred, officials said. Kim was allegedly trying to navigate the Willets Point Boulevard exit when he sideswiped a 2012 Kia Sorrento that was stopped, according to a news release.

Soo Kim’s car continued to move forward after hitting the Kia Sorrento, ultimately crashing into a concrete wall head-on, officials said. Police from Flushing’s 109th Precinct responded and found Soo Kim with severe trauma to his body, according to the news release.

He was transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, where he was pronounced dead. A 43-year-old man and 35-year-old woman who were in the Kia suffered minor injuries and were transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, officials said.

The  NYPD’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad is investigating, officials said. Efforts to reach law enforcement for further comment  were unavailing.
